Nine years ago Joanne I bought her first rental property. She had no idea on how to be a landlord. Didn’t know how to screen
tenants, do credit checks, call references and previous landlords, etc. Since then Joanne has really enjoyed this industry and decided to take it more seriously and learn about it. She attended Humber College and obtained her accreditation for property management. She now manages various properties in and around Durham Region and has dealt with a lot of tenant issues. Joanne is on the Habitat for Humanity Durham affordable housing task force, a board of director for the Landlord Association of Durham, was on the Committee of Adjustments for Scugog Township, and an Award winner of the Wise 50 over 50 at Start Up Canada in Ottawa for 2017.

Elliott is Vice President at PHC Inc., which both owns and manages multi-residential properties with an asset value exceeding $125 million and 500+ rental units. He gained commercial real estate underwriting experience at a Major Bank and a Trust Company. Elliott has 10 years of commercial real estate brokerage experience along with his property management knowledge. He completed his MBA in 2005 and recently studied real estate development and the Ontario Building Code courses at Ryerson University; additionally, he completed part of the Certified Property Management program through the Real Estate Council of Canada.

Brian has consulted to a number of Condo & Co-op Boards and Property Management companies. Brian also operates a business involved in the delivery of energy efficiency programs & technology and now SmartHome/Building/City tech employing voice device & speaker technology.
