Principal Ecovert - Sustainability Consultants
Jim Lord is the principal of Ecovert Corporation; a company committed to providing developers, landlords and tenants with sustainable real estate solutions. He has over 20 years of real estate experience in varied roles including tenant, landlord, property manager and consultant. As part of his commitment to the environment, Jim led the team that negotiated a green lease, designed LEED® interiors, and moved Royal & Sun Alliance’s Atlantic regional centre to a custom-built office building. This building was the first commercial building in Atlantic Canada to register for LEED® certification. Prior to starting Ecovert, Jim held the role of Director, Corporate Services at Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance.

Dan is a sustainability professional with a 6-year track record of advising leading Canadian organizations. He works to embed environmental, social and governance aspects into our clients’ business practices. Utilizing a strong background in sustainability management and analysis, Dan is experienced in driving operational efficiencies and continued performance improvements. Dan’s experience includes data management and analysis, program development and roll-out, greenhouse gas accounting, green building certifications and sustainability reporting. His interest for the environment extends past work, being an active contributor to the executive committee of the Canada Green Building Council’s Emerging Green Builders.
