Jack Laken, P.Eng. B.Sc., is President of Termobuild Canada and only founding partner. Jack's key area of expertise is focused on integrated building solutions that drive simplification and superior efficiency as a baseline. Jack has 30 years of North American and International experience in commercial and residential engineering design at his own Engineering Design firm prior to founding TermoBuild. For the past 15 years with TermoBuild, Jack has participated in the design of 35+ buildings and over 2 million square feet using integrated ventilation design which is extremely efficient, cost effective, and safe with respect to the spread of infectious disease. TermoBuild has won numerous architectural awards while producing the two most efficient schools in Canada and a Net positive 675K square foot campus in the US among other accomplishments. TermoBuild's integrated ventilation designs have been featured in a recent National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) research report; NREL: A Guide to Sero Energy and Zero Energy Ready K-12 Schools.

Tom Machinchick has spent the past decade as a research analyst and consultant in the global commercial and residential buildings technology industry working for leading firms such as Pike Research, Navigant Consulting and Manifest Mind. His work covered all aspects of energy efficiency for commercial and residential buildings including HVAC systems, Energy Services Companies (ESCO), intelligent building systems, utilities, renewable and distributed energy, and other relevant topics – including global market forecasts. Tom has been a recognized voice in the building’s industry with numerous publications and conference appearances discussing leading edge building topics.
